Starbucks coffee is one of the most popular coffee brands around the world. So it’s no surprise that it’s found a home here in India. So now Tata Starbucks Pvt Ltd has opened its first drive-thru store in India. And this Starbucks Drive-Thru store is located at Dhillon Plaza, Ambala Chandigarh Expressway, Singhpura, Zirakpur.
This first step of opening the first Starbucks drive-thru outlet reflects the company’s long-term commitment to the Indian market. And thus, it now has 187+ Starbucks stores. And aims to provide more ways for customers in India to enjoy the Starbucks experience.
The Starbucks drive-thru store is on the Ambala-Chandigarh Expressway. And it joins the brand’s 187 stores in Mumbai, Delhi NCR, Hyderabad, Chennai, Bengaluru, Pune, Kolkata, Chandigarh, Ahmedabad, Surat, and Vadodara. Starbucks joined the Indian market through a 50:50 partnership with Tata Global Beverages in October 2012. Which is called Tata Consumer Products Ltd.

We know that it is thanks to you that we can provide our customers with a superior product at an unbeatable price. Hence, every day, more than 2,000 Indian partners (employees) take pride in wearing green aprons. We are so grateful to the people who work here every day. And we couldn’t do without their hard work and dedication.
Starbucks has been committed to setting a strong foundation in India since it first opened its first store in Mumbai on 19 October 2012. Since then, they have expanded to new cities across the country. And Tata established itself as a leader in the coffee industry.
The Starbucks drive-thru store provides additional convenience for customers who want to pick up their order from the car, or for passengers who are traveling. This store is located next to the Chandigarh-Ambal Highway. So customers can stop for a short break to enjoy their favorite Starbucks food at the cafe, which has two levels of in-store seating, and free Wi-Fi. And you can also buy Starbucks merchandise which is available in the store.
Well, first off, they have a wide range of menu items that are available at every location in India. So if you like your coffee hot and your pastries sweet, there’s a Starbucks for you. Second, they have drive-thru windows at some locations! That means no more waiting in line to order: just pull right up to the window and tell ’em what you want! Lastly, the Starbucks partners at drive-thru windows are friendly and welcoming—just like they are in your local store.
To promote drive-thru in India. Tata Starbucks created a digital marketing campaign with the tagline “Why wait for your brew when you have the drive-thru?”
Late last year, the company restarted its dine-in service at select stores in Delhi, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Kolkata Ahmedabad, Surat, and Vadodara with improved cleaning and sanitization protocols. Stores operate with a 50% seating capacity to maintain social distancing between customers and employees. However, home delivery and curbside takeaway service are available for customers across India.
